Bem vindo a pagina oficial do OpenVentilator!
Our main Goal
Design, build and test a reliable mechanical ventilation medical equipment to help the COVID-19 people / regions / countries in deep humanitarian crisis or difficult economic situations. (That is why we do not continue our efforts on projects that are being developed by other teams, which have a different society and economic approach), we discard ambu / stepper motors / complex valves / central compressed air).Cities are running out of Ambubags, so we developed a bellows system that can be built with 4 discs, a wheel chamber. We used a 12V DC wiper motor, a set of relays, keys and diodes found in cars in addition to a computer source

We are developing a solution that can be easily implemented horizontally without the need for large industries, as an industrial park is not the reality in many cities in Brazil. In addition, we are approaching the project in a completely different way.
Another important point is the change in the approach to the use of "Ambu". These pulmonary resuscitators, although easily found in large cities, are not found in small villages and poor countries, it is also questionable whether they could withstand the ventilation of a patient for 20 intubated days. Therefore, our project replaces Ambu with a bellows, exactly the same as the way old hospital respirators used to do
